Whoever wrote this is so deluded. College is not my job; I’m not getting paid to go, I am paying to go. You bet your crusty boomer ass I’m going in jeans and a tshirt if I want to.
And all any professor cares about is that you’re not on your phone the entire class, don’t disrupt class or act like an asshole, and you participate and turn your papers in enough to pass.
It isn’t like public school where you’ll be sent home if your bra strap falls out of your shirt sleeve and you spend twelve years conditioned to think asking permission to void your bladder is sane and sensible.
The buisness students at my uni tried to report us (the art students) for dressing casually and not wearing suits.
